For All My Texans

Well, I did it...I am now the holder of a Kentucky state drivers license. And they don't let you keep your old license, so when they handed me the new one, they KEPT my Texas license and tossed in a pile behind the desk!!! Well, they can take it away, but that doesn't change the fact that--
YOU CAN TAKE THE GIRL OUT OF TEXAS, BUT YOU CAN'T TAKE TEXAS OUT OF THE GIRL
--Ain't that the truth.

In response to the coffee-date thing, I agree that Monday would be the most fun. I can't go this Monday night -- what about next week? Totally let me know what you think.

I am thinking about 7:30 or 8? How does that work for you?

That is sooo true. Even though we plan to move to CO in a few years, we will still be Texans deep down! Lived here all our lives.

I agree. You and I will always be Southern at heart (though I know Southern and Texan aren't quite interchangeable... ;)

Every time (before Sophia was born) Greg and I would visit his family for Christmas, his Pawpaw would ask us "y'all haven't turned into one of them Yankees up there yet, have y'all?"

and

Right after we first moved to CT 3 and 1/2 yrs ago, when President W Bush was up for re-election, my parents called me to "express their concern and make sure I was still going to vote republican since I live up there with all those democrats and their influence".

Some examples for your entertainment... :)

AMEN! Funny that they take them. I still have all my old ones. No comment on the "old" part, my dear. You find yourself "here" one day, too! ; ) Love the great truck grill!
